From Planning to Show Day

My name is Tom Holton, and I’m a live event production professional with over a decade of experience delivering events across a wide range of roles and environments. My background spans lighting, audiovisual, stage and set design, structure builds, touring, and cinematatography, giving me a strong, end-to-end understanding of how live productions are planned, built, and delivered.

Today, my focus combines hands-on technical delivery with production coordination and on-site leadership. I work across AV, video, and LED systems while supporting planning, crew coordination, and problem-solving during live execution, ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and to brief.

Audiovisual

Technical & AV Production

My background spans live event and experiential production, with a strong foundation in audiovisual delivery. I’ve worked across video, LED, lighting, audio, and site infrastructure on corporate events, touring productions, festivals, and brand activations.

This hands-on experience informs my approach to production and on-site leadership, allowing me to anticipate technical challenges, coordinate teams effectively, and ensure smooth, safe, and well-executed live environments.

Touring & Live Stage Production

I’ve worked extensively on live stages and touring productions across the UK and internationally, supporting concerts, festivals, and touring shows. My experience spans stage builds, technical installs, and live operation, often within fast-moving, high-pressure environments.

Touring work has developed a strong sense of adaptability, teamwork, and operational discipline — from advancing shows and working to tight schedules, to collaborating with venues, artists, and production teams to deliver consistent, high-quality live performances.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Alongside live event work, I’ve worked as an AV Technician in professional film studios in Vancouver, primarily supporting video and camera workflows within controlled studio productions. I’ve also collaborated closely with a producer and director in Kent, contributing through lighting and camera operation to help realise creative vision.

Working across live and studio environments has sharpened my ability to adapt technical skills to different creative processes while maintaining reliable, well-executed delivery.
